Some things to consider BEFORE reading the above picture:

The Uunca here is Sly, who has NEVER been a baby or a child (she was a human untill she was 16 and when she was turned into an Uunca her body jumped MANY years to become a teen Uunca)

Sly has no mask design, but other Uuncas who do have mask designs, their design would have appeared when they were teens

The heights can vary slightly depending on each individual Uunca (example: some may be bigger than average or smaller than average)

Sly is actually slightly bigger than this- this picture is just the average


Now some more info!

1. Baby:

When Uunca's are born they are already very strong compared to other creatures. They cannot walk for about 1 year during which time they are blind and therefore need their parent's protection- but they can however smell and hear exceptionally well alowing them to be aware of their surroundings and know their parents from other Uuncas. They live on a diet of 100% milk which also gives them warmth. Once they can walk they can actually move pretty fast allowing them to escape some more common predators (foxes, wolves, etc) They have no mask designs, no markings, no teeth, dull claws, and thin fur. Abilities of babies vary from tribe to tribe:

Aztec: Learn to walk faster than most tribes
Tidal: learn to swim before walking
Tiki: can spit poison
Hidden: when learn how to walk, faster than most tribes babies
Night: learn how to see faster than most tribes or grow teeth faster than most tribes
Eagle: fur thicker than most

2. child:

At this point, Uuncas have been walking for a while and are quite adept in getting themselves in all kinds of trouble.Their markings have appeared allowing them to be immediately distinguishable from other children. They still need constant supervision from their parents because even though they have a few teeth and sharper claws they cannot protect themselves from larger predators. They have few teeth and still have thin fur so they have a partial diet of milk and chewed up meat. At this point they can also communicate slowly learning how to communicate better and better. Their parents now alow the child to see them hunt and teach them techniques. Siblings now will practice hunting on each other/ single cubs will practice hunting parents.

3. Teen:

Their mask designs (if they have any) have now appeared, their claws are fully developed and razor sharp, and all their teeth have come in. They have now been allowed to come on hunts and actually catch prey larger than mice, birds, and small mammals. Teens will now start real combat training and strength training. The Uunca's body is going through multiple growth spurts causing their necks and legs to quickly become longer; this gives the Uunca a long, gauky, and awkward appearance with little obvious muscles mass. Teens will stay with their parents until they are 25 years old and will then go on their way or begin caring for themselves in their own dens.

4. Young Adult:

At this point their ear shapes will be fully developed and their fur will be fully grown and thick. They will have been living on their own for a while close to their parents. When they become young adults, they may change tribes or get a den closer to more Uunca's their age in the tribe. At this age, they are eligable to become a templar and be trained individually by an older member of the group. In addition to this they will begin couple-ing (koop-leh-ing) with other Uunca's (male or female; it doesn't matter) if they want* This is also the age they discover their special abilities.

*(couple means to have recreational sex.)

5. Adult:

The uunca is now fully grown and their muslces are hardened and toned. They can continue their training as a Direet (di-reet') or go into their profession in the tribe. At this point they pretty much just live their lives. They may at some point take a mate for life and if they do can begin to have cubs. Sly is about 1,500 years old, which is still considered quite young in the adult range but most Uuncas dont live past 1,000 due to combat, disease, and hunting. Uuncas are considered "Elders" once they become 3,000 years old but this is extremely rare.
